Who we are
Therapy is a powerful tool for fostering emotional and mental well-being. Just as we seek medical care for physical health concerns, it's essential to address our psychological needs with the same level of attention and care. Therapy offers a safe, supportive environment to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop practical coping strategies for life’s challenges.
With over 30 years of experience in diverse behavioral health settings, Liz Wolanski, LPCC-S specializes in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, chronic suicidal ideation, self-injury, maternal depression and grief and loss. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Social Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, she is a trainer for two nationally and internationally recognized Suicide Prevention and Intervention Models; QPR (Question Persuade Refer) and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
Liz believes that therapy is a collaborative process where the individual’s voice, strengths, and goals are at the center. Each therapeutic journey is unique, and what works for one person may not be the right fit for another. Liz works closely with individuals to tailor their work together—identifying meaningful goals, building insight, and implementing strategies.
